Purse-onally, I think it's Cute...

Okay, I have a confession to make, as much as I liked designing clothes, handbags, and such, I remember dreading the sewing machine. The sewing machine is like a needle monster hungrily waiting to stab my fingers, not to mention how my shaky hands will only guide the material through creating crooked lines. It wasn't until a couple months ago that I had to face my fear. I do believe it's important for a young lady to develop homemaking skills, sewing included. ((bummer)) :) Whenever I venture to do something that seems impossible for me I remember Philippians 4:13.
So with a renewed "I think I can!" attitude, we T.R.A.C.K. girls set out to sew up some handbags. After designing the purses (on a chalkboard, mind you), finding the material, doing the math ((yawn)), and finally cutting the material into the desired shapes, we faced the needle monster.....

....(sigh of relief). That wasn't so bad! After a few hours of hard work and dedication, we had each created a stylish, floppy, and reversible handbag to our liking. Voila!!

This is the side I like best. On the right pocket I put an R-me badge, it's my homemade logo.

Inside of the bag.

This is what the bag looks like when I reversed it.

Our primary goal is to make some more handbags and sell them to raise funds for the our trip to Youth Conference in Hammond, IN. If you're interested in purchasing one, you can leave me a comment with your e-mail address (don't worry, I won't publish it), I will e-mail more information to you and you can go from there.
