My Special Valentine

Well, another Valentine's Day has come and gone and no, I didn't get any chocolates, roses, or teddy bears. ((sigh)) But that's quite alright, Valentine's Day reminds me of the incredible undeserving love that Jesus showed on the cross. Many people have the wrong idea on what love is all about. I don't need to be swept off my feet into the arms of Prince Charming to know what love is!!! What is it with all those silly little advertisments on TV and the internet telling you to 'check out these singles'? Be wise, my dear sisters, if you want to know what love is, look up Romans 5:8 and 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, that's all you have to do. I just don't get why 'true love' has always seemed to be a mystery when God talks about it in His Word in plain daylight. ((sigh))
It's entirely AMAZING what we can learn from the Bible when we actually pay attention to it.

This year, the girls' group in my church called T.R.A.C.K. (The Real Action Christ Kommands), decided to take some action. We (only two of us showed up) got together and baked heart-shaped sugar cookies and delivered them to the older people in our church in obedience to God's command in Leviticus 19:32. A special thanks to my wonderful grandparents for loaning us their kitchen!! Delivering the cookies was such a joyful experience!
